NEW PODIUM FOR MILOŠ IN IMOLA!

NEW PODIUM FOR MILOŠ IN IMOLA!

Serbian racing driver Miloš Pavlović, after a short summer break, continued with racing and – was successful again! At the third endurance race within the Italian GT Championship, which was held at the grand prix track in Imola, our ace in the team with Thai driver Lommahadthai and the German driver Spengler won second place in the class, and the crew of the Star performance team took sixth place overall.

The trio in the “Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo II” once again had to work hard to achieve a high ranking, considering that they started the three-hour race on the “Enzo and Dino Ferrari” track from the 17th starting position. Miloš was again in two complicated stints, the first and the last, and Spengler and Lommahadthai took turns at the steering wheel during the middle part of the race. This time there were fewer incidents than usual, so considering that the stewards and drivers of the “safety car” did not have much to do, there was not much opportunity to reduce the gap during the interruption part of the race. This time, this was not a problem for the trio in the car with starting number 33, and thanks to Pavlović, Lommahadthai and Spengler’s good pace, they managed to advance by as many as 11 positions during the race.

Another endurance race will be held within the Italian GT Championship this season. It is scheduled for mid-September, and will be held on another iconic track – Mugello. This race will decide the champion in the GT3 AM class, given that Pavlović, Spengler and Lommahadthai are currently leading the standings with 57 points, while the closest followers Borelli and Ulrich (Ferrari – AF Corse) have collected so far 51 points. The third position in the championship, with 48 points, is shared by another trio of the AF Corse team, Ambrose, McDonald and Castellacci.

“This was an extremely difficult weekend for our team, which can be seen from the fact that we only managed to qualify for the race in 17th position. We had to improve a lot between Saturday and Sunday and we succeeded because the car was much better in the race. We were competitive and fast, which earned us second place in the class and sixth place overall. With this result, we are back in the fight for the title. I am happy with the result achieved, and we got there because the whole team did an amazing job. Now I am looking forward to some holidays, which I will use to prepare as well as possible for the final challenge”.
