Fast but unlucky in Vallelunga
The first race of the Italian GT Endurance championship was held on the 16th of June in Vallelunga, Rome. Miloš will compete in this series alongside two teammates, Pek (Thailand) and Florian Spengler (Germany) in the AM category.
The car proved to be very competitive and the trio qualified without much pre season testing in P15 overall, P2 in class. A result that was more than acceptable given the circumstances. The race looked very promising given the pace of the three drivers combined. Pek started it and held to the second position in class which was the plan. Unfortunately though, a lap before the first pit stop, he encountered a back marker that had to be lapped. A contact occurred and that was the beginning of the end. The team had to make the hard decision to retire the car #33 as the damage was too great.
“The car was fast, the potential to do extremely well was there. It’s a hit for all of us but we win and lose as a team, together. We will be back stronger. Can’t wait for Mugello”.
